Tobey - short for October - is a one of a kind rag doll with wooden ball joints. Her body was completely handmade by me from start to finish. Her pumpkin head is flannel and her body cotton. Her outfit was also patterned, cut and sewn by me from a pumpkin-print four way stretch jersey. I even cobbled her little sneakers out of craft felt, elastic and rick rack.
Her kitty (named Ween) lives in her pocket (he doesn't like to come out). He is made of needle felted wool. Tobey's stem is also needle felted and hardened with a special wax made for wool. Each lock of her chunky chenille hair was rooted individually via hand sewing. I spent so many hours on her, I'm not sure how to count them.
Tobey is a rag doll, which makes her very floppy *NOT POSEABLE*. She does well in a chair or doll stand, but she has trouble sitting on her own for very long due to her rather big head. There is a wooden support inside joining her head to her body. She has great posture! She is around 12" tall from stem to toes.
Tobey is introverted, loves Ween (her cat) and the crispy smell of fall leaves. She loves trick or treating, playing video games and reading. Her best friend is Stella, who is always standing up for her. Tobey hopes that someday she can be brave enough to stand up for Stella.
